Emergency Relief & Essential Supplies Program
Immediate Help When It Is Needed Most
The Emergency Relief & Essential Supplies Program provides immediate practical assistance to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, hardship, poverty, crisis or other circumstances of vulnerability.
Through public donations and community support, ECHARITY AUSTRALIA raises funds and converts those funds into essential items required by people in need. This approach allows assistance to be targeted according to current priorities and ensures resources are directed where they will have the greatest impact.

Assistance includes:
- Tents and temporary shelter equipment;
- Sleeping bags, blankets and bedding;
- Warm clothing and footwear;
- Hygiene and personal care products;
- Food and drinking water;
- Baby and infant essentials;
- Household necessities;
- Emergency care packages; and
- Other items considered necessary to meet immediate needs

Safe Shelter & Community Land Initiative program
Creating Places of Stability and Hope
This long-term initiative seeks to acquire land throughout Australia and establish safe, managed community spaces for individuals and families experiencing homelessness and severe housing insecurity.
The initiative will develop progressively as resources and community support increase.

Phase One – Safe Community Camping Spaces
The first stage will establish safe and supported camping areas that provide temporary shelter and basic amenities for people experiencing homelessness and crisis situations.
Phase Two – Affordable and Sustainable Dwellings
As additional resources become available, ECHARITY AUSTRALIA will develop low-cost, sustainable and renewable dwelling solutions designed to provide greater stability and transitional accommodation opportunities.
Phase Three – Pathways to Interest-Free Home Ownership
The long-term vision of the initiative is to provide pathways toward affordable and interest-free housing opportunities that promote independence, dignity and long-term housing security.
Future Development
As resources permit, ECHARITY AUSTRALIA will establish construction, manufacturing and related social enterprise operations dedicated to producing affordable housing solutions and reducing barriers to home ownership.
The organisation intends to increase the supply of affordable dwellings across Australia, progressing from simple and cost-effective housing solutions to more substantial homes that support long-term community wellbeing and pathways to interest-free home ownership.
Key features include:
- Temporary camping areas for approved occupants
- Access to sanitation and washing facilities
- Safe communal areas
- Connections to support services
- Community gardens and food production
- Pathways toward long-term housing and independence
- Local government compliance, health regulations, planning approvals and other appropriate governance standards.
- Free to low cost camping and accommodation fees, depending on level of vulnerability.
Purpose
To relieve homelessness and housing disadvantage by providing safe shelter, developing affordable housing solutions and creating pathways toward long-term housing stability for vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals and families throughout Australia.
